

Payment and Cancellation Policy
We run our workshops on a cost recovery basis. Sometimes the building ends up being owned by a charity. Sometimes it lives on our property to be used as office, workshop, or sleeping space. We don't have to build these buildings but do it in order to teach other people the how and why of straw bale construction.
Your space in our workshop is not guaranteed until your cheque clears. We will keep your payment in a separate workshop account and it will remain safe there until the launch date of the workshop. The launch date is well (often a month or more) before the published start date of the workshop. That is the date when we place orders, start digging, start preparing materials, etc. It is the date we start spending money.
If we cancel the workshop at any time you will receive a full refund.
If you cannot attend the workshop we will give you a full refund if:
- you withdraw when the workshop is not full and before the launch date of the workshop,
- you withdraw when the workshop is full and before the launch date of the workshop if we are able to replace you in the workshop,
- you withdraw when the workshop is not full and after the launch date of the workshop if the workshop fills and we are able to replace you in the workshop,
- you withdraw when the workshop is full and after the launch date of the workshop if we can replace you in the workshop.
We will accept no responsibility whatsoever for any costs incurred as a result of your planning to attend a cancelled workshop. Buy cancellation insurance on your travel and hotel reservations.
